As everyone knows, I like to keep my makeup simple and natural. I’m a no-fuss kind of girl. But, when I want to do something fun it is ALWAYS lipstick. I’m not much of an eyeshadow person or anything that takes a lot of skill haha. I decided to review Maybelline’s new Lip Studio line and focused on the metallic foil options, specifically. Here are my thoughts!
The Application:
This lipstick goes on SO smooth like gloss. The applicator is pointed which makes it easy for rookies like me to get straight, perfect lines. It is definitely easier than regular lipstick, so it was a big winner in this category.
Application Results: 10/10
The Color:
These colors are definitely bold. They are good for a night out, not your everyday look, because of the metallic sheen. BUT they sure are pretty. Since I don’t even do my makeup when I go out, this is a great way to spice up the look. The colors themselves are relatively neutral in the metallic foil options, and it looks amazing on.
Color Results: 8/10
Staying Power:
WOW. This lipstick stayed on so well! Not even just when it comes to length of time, but through an entire meal and drinking multiple drinks. I was so impressed. This is something that I think all of us girls struggle with, so love that I finally found some great options with staying power.

Overall, I would definitely recommend the Lip studio line from Maybelline. Best part, they have way more than just the metallic foil colors. They have glitter fix and electric shine, too, if you are looking for fun glitter or bright colors! All with the pros that I pointed out with the metallic foil options. Get yours at Ulta Beauty!
