February = love is in the air! Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, so you make sure to find a perfect gift for your loved one. Sometimes it takes time to pick the best gift and it can be quite frustrating, especially if you two have been in a relationship for a while and you ran out of ideas on what to buy. On the other hand, if you two have just started your relationship and don’t know each other so well, it can be just as difficult. I know how hard that can be, so I’ve decided to give my readers a few tips that might help!
Those in long-term relationships might want to buy something that has a more personal, intimate feel to it, or anything that gives away the impression that you two know each other very well. Fresh relationships mean you should probably opt for more simple, classic gifts that don’t go out of style. Or you can chose something funny that will put a smile on your loved one’s face – this one’s a good option for both types of relationship!
1.    A Good, Manly Scent
Careful with this one. It’s easy to make a mistake if you are: a) in a fresh relationship, or b) if you don’t know much about cologne in general. From my experience and conversations with my male friends, Bleau de Chanel is a winner in the category – one of those timeless classics. Trust me on this one, it is sooo good that it will make you both happy. Women go crazy around this one, so watch out for your guy. Just kidding! 😉
2.    Accessories – Belts, Scarves, Wallets etc.
Start with something small if you’re in a fresh relationship. Accessories such as belts, scarves, wallets or even a pair of fine leather gloves all fit perfectly in this category. These are classic gifts that most men wouldn’t say no to. Pay close attention to how he usually wears his clothes (does he wear his jeans with a belt, did he ever wear a scarf etc.) and try to fit one of these as a Valentine’s Day gift he’ll simply adore!
3.    A watch
You have some extra money that you’re ready to spend on Valentine’s gift? If so, a watch would be an excellent pick. The price range depends solely on how much you are willing to spend. Wherever I go, my music follows me. There’s hardly a time during the day when I don’t listen to the music one way or another. If your guy is as addicted to music as I am, a vinyl of his favorite artist will make him extremely happy! Also, if you could find a vintage t-shirt of his favorite band, that would be a great alternative. Vintage shirts are a huge trend right now!
6.    Personalized Gift
A friend of mine bought a Zippo lighter as a gift for her boyfriend. At first, I thought it was bit silly (not romantic at all), but then she explained to me how she added a text engraving on the lighter which gave a more personal vibe to the gift. Such a simple gift as a Zippo lighter suddenly became a quite “intimate“ gift that her boyfriend loved and thought was an innovative and creative idea. You could do something similar for your boyfriend (adding engravement on some other item), or you can also use this exact same idea if he’s a smoker as well.
In the end, don’t forget to follow your heart and your instinct while choosing the perfect gift, because if you do, you will hardly go wrong. It’s much more important to show that you’ve put in some effort and chosen something he’ll really like, rather than choosing something simply because it is expensive.
