Here’s to one of the most interesting events of the year – New York Fashion Week! From the 9th-17th  of February, the streets were flooded with perfect aesthetics and new trendsetters! Even though there’s still a wintery feel in the air, this stopped no one from dressing perfectly for the occasion. The refreshing floral scenery of Ralph Lauren’s show (picture below) made it easy for those there to forget all about the bad weather and focus on the lovely creations that made everyone wish it was spring already!
Though it was very hard to choose, some of the designers I liked the most from Spring’s New York Fashion Week include: Marchesa, Derek Lam, Ralph Lauren, Michael Kors, Tommy Hilfiger and Brandon Maxwell. For this blog post, I’ve picked my favorite looks from both New York Fashion Week runway AND streetstyle outfits! Fav streetstyle picks include those of Kendall Jenner, Chiara Ferragni and others can be found at the bottom of this post. First, let’s see some breathtaking runway creations.
Marchesa
What an amazing combination of colors and fringe! This Marchesa dress had me head over heels as soon as I saw it – not really something for everyday wear, but pieces like these are totally Oscar worthy. Simply stunning!
Tommy Hilfiger
There’s no good show without Tommy Hilfiger. When it comes to sportswear, TH is definitely the best. With Gigi Hadid becoming the new “it“ face of Tommy, this collection is surely guaranteed to be a great success. I’ve always loved their hoodies and sweatshirts, as well as the newly designed crop tops which you can fit easy into your favorite everyday look.
Michael Kors
Michael Kors – what is there left to say? Perfect as always with warm brown tones and elegance that screams “luxury“.
Brandon Maxwell
Wow! Seriously, Brandon Maxwell is becoming one of my favorite designers. There’s simplicity in both the design and the colors, while it still embraces the curves and emphasizes the best body parts of every woman. Maybe Bella wearing this particular long black dress is what makes it so perfect, but nevertheless I would surely love to have it in my wardrobe!
Derek Lam
This season Derek Lam seems to have embraced a very feminine touch combined with his usual minimalistic design. Bright, but soft colors such as pink and white will surely be a huge hit this spring, so it is very hard to resist what he has showed us on the runway during this fashion week!
